Apology Case
(in English (and Kreol Seselwa on request))

The following case was developed in collaboration with the University of Seychelles with the aim to raise awareness of gender stereotypes in the Seychelles among university staff in particular. The background for this is a public portrayal/stereotype of men as inadequate and irresponsible. Note that all material is in English and/or Kreol Seselwa. For more information about the background and set-up see:
Deutschmann, M. & Steinvall, A. (2020). Gender stereotypes and the apology in a small state: Uncovering Creole male stereotypes in the Seychelles using digital matched-guise methodology. Small States & Territories Journal, 3 (1), 99-116.  Link to full text

Note, however, that the material provided below (i.e. the open access surveys) are in English only. Surveys including material in Kreol Seselwa can be provided on demand.

Working out the script
The script was worked out in collaboration with native speakers of Kreol Seselwa at the University of Seychelles.
